description Lake Owyhee State Park is a remote oasis catering to camping and boating on the shore of a scenic desert canyon reservoir. Owyhee Reservoir is a 53-mile-long lake, filling a narrow, deep canyon brimming with colorful volcanic rock formations. Lake Owyhee SP is open from April 15 through October 31, with reservations May 1 through September. Camping will be available first come, first served mid-April until May 1 and all of October. MAKE SURE YOUR SITE MEETS YOUR CAMPING NEEDS Before reserving, please become familiar with the particulars of your chosen site, including the size of the tent pad area and the type of equipment that you may bring to the park. Site details and tent pad sizes can be viewed online by clicking on the site name.
drivingDirection Directions to Lake Owyhee State Park From Highway 201, turn west at Owyhee Junction onto Owyhee Avenue for 5 miles, then turn south (left) onto Owyhee Dam Cutoff Rd for 22 miles to the park. WARNING: Parts of this road are steep and narrow with sharp corners, and with limited visibilty. Please use caution.

importantInformation Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle kept at a campsite (or alternate parking area) is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee. The nightly Extra Vehicle fee is currently $7.00. Check in time is 4pm. Check out time is 1pm. There is an $8 reservation fee per site reserved. An $8 transaction fee is charged for any date or site changes made to an existing reservation. *Reservations for more than five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the end of the stay will only pay an $8 transaction fee. Reservations for more the five nights/days that are later changed to fewer nights/days by cancelling nights at the beginning of the stay will pay an $8 transaction fee and the nightly rate for each night cancelled. Please be aware that only the person whose name is on the reservation, their designee or the primary occupant may access, change or cancel the reservation. Reservations can be made 24 hours a day, from 1 day to 9 months in advance. Internet reservations become available at midnight.
